There is nothing worse than reading a book or a screenplay that is obviously subpar. They seem like amateur mistakes, but even professional authors and playwrights are guilty of lethargy in their writing. Signs of a lazy author come through in narration, format, and theme, sometimes late in careers and sometimes from the start, but regardless, they are huge turn offs for readers and critics. …or so says the Newseum, a museum showing the triumphs (and pitfalls) of the journalism industry, from print papers to photos, with the goal of defending the First Amendment (notably, freedom of press) across the country and around the world.

I recently visited this D.C. museum with my boyfriend, and, needless to say, my trip was one to remember.
